About Us

Nature. Craftsmanship. Individuality.

At Petrified Wood Art by Griya Selo, we believe exceptional interiors begin with exceptional materials. Every piece starts with authentic petrified wood, naturally shaped and transformed over millions of years. Its distinctive patterns, textures, colors, and organic forms make each piece inherently unique.

Based in Yogyakarta, a renowned city of art and one of Indonesia’s important cultural centers, we are surrounded by a rich tradition of craftsmanship, creativity, and appreciation for the arts. This cultural heritage inspires the way we approach our work — with patience, respect for materials, and an appreciation for the beauty of things made with intention.

We carefully select each piece of petrified wood for its natural character and potential. Rather than concealing its imperfections or forcing it into uniformity, we work with what nature has created, allowing its original form and character to remain part of the finished piece.

Through thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship, we transform these remarkable natural materials into distinctive furniture and home décor. Each creation is made to retain the presence and authenticity of petrified wood while bringing a refined and timeless quality to contemporary spaces.

We believe true individuality cannot be mass-produced. No two pieces of petrified wood are exactly alike, and every natural variation becomes part of its story. This is what makes each creation not only a functional piece, but also a unique expression of nature, craftsmanship, and art.

From Yogyakarta to homes and spaces around the world, we are committed to creating pieces that feel authentic, enduring, and worthy of being lived with for years to come.
